7 nights at Pinewood Village
After your safari it's time for the beach and some relaxation. You can stay as long as you like on the coast, and even mix and match hotels if you can't decide where to stay, but for the purposes of pricing we have shown prices assuming 7 nights at a true gem of a hotel called Pinewood Village. It is based on Half Board, but an All Inclusive upgrade is also available. Saturday Return to Nairobi and fly to Mombasa for your beach stay, or alternatively return to Heathrow. Typically, beach extensions are for 7 nights, but can be as long or as short as you wish - both the duration and the hotel are completely flexible.
Breakfast plus dinner at Pinewood Village Accommodation 7 nights at Pinewood Village on Half Board (all inclusive available at a supplement)
Pinewood Village is a small boutique hotel with a relaxed ambience, friendly staff, and a much more personal feel to it than some other hotels. The highlight is the superb white sandy beach but many of our customers love the gardens which are filled with birds and monkeys. By the main restaurant is a most beautiful fish pond. Bright yellow Golden Palm Weavers are here and you could spend the whole time just watching them.
Every evening there is a different theme, so it could be from an English Roast to a Mongolian dinner. It is also possible to have candlelit dinners on the beach. The food is good and fresh, and because they have a vegetable garden some guests even pick their own vegetables for the chef to cook for them. There is also an informal, cosy new restaurant down at the beach in a magical setting. Here you may be served a BBQ dinner with entertainment. And if you like pizza then try the pizza oven near the beach. This is actually built into some old coral, and the chef here makes delicious thin-crust pizzas. All the ingredients he uses are fresh. Superb!

| | | | Notes 1. A visa is required to enter Kenya, and it is currently US$ 50, payable on entry. It is possible to buy a visa beforehand, but it takes at least 3 working days, even in person, so we recommend just getting one on arrival. 2. Malaria precautions are recommended for holidays to Kenya. There are various tablets available but it is best to speak to your GP or Travel nurse for best advice. 3. An exclusive safari vehicle is available. If there are 2 of you, it works out at £190 per person. For 3 people, £90 per person. And for 4 people, it is just £35 per person. These will be premier safari vehicles with more space more comfort. 4. You get a guaranteed window seat on all days 5. You have a guide throughout the safari who will know the best places to go to view the game 6. Early morning hot air balloon trips are pre-bookable in the Masai Mara - these are normally around £275 per person. Afterwards, you will have a 'bubbly' breakfast in the bush. From personal experience, this is something I would hugely recommend! 7. Prices based on Kenya Airways, but flights with BA and Virgin also available at a supplement. Please note thought that Kenya Airways has the best flight connections and because of their generous baggage allowance of 2 bags x 23kg per person, we recommend that you fly with Kenya Airways. 8. There is an option to fly from the Masai Mara back to Nairobi either £170 per person for the morning flight or £205 for the afternoon flight which would also include lunch in the Mara. Or you can fly direct to Mombasa for £290 per person. Please note the luggage allowance on the light aircraft is 15kg. 9. All lodges are in prime locations for wildlife viewing. | |
