The Resort
- Mombasa is very much a beach destination but one that is unique in two ways. First, the sheer variety of hotels on offer. You can have cheap 3* options right up to 5* luxury, plus many small, unique and boutique hotels such as Cove Treehouses. And second, one of the great advantages of Mombasa for a holiday destination is its closeness to Tsavo National Park enabling you to go on 1, 2 or 3 night mini safaris that may also include the wonderful Amboseli, which I particularly love because of the backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro.
Trips and Excursions
- 2 or 3 night safaris to Tsavo National Park and Amboseli
- Day or overnight excursions to Shimba Hills National Park
- Glass bottomed boat trips
- The Robinson Crusoe experience - a boat trip to a BBQ on a sandbank, that is only there during low tide
- Snorkeling and diving trips
- Mountain bikes for trekking into the local forest
- Bird watching and mangrove tours
